That seller sells the illegal.860+ COR drivers. Anything over a.830 COR is illegal. They are supposed to be longer than the.830 COR drivers. A simple way to explain it is The coefficient of reinstitution (COR) is a physical measurement of how much energy is returned when two objects collide (the head and the ball).100% cor would return all the energy.imagine if you drop a ball from 6 feet.it would bounce back up to a height of 6 feet.this is actually impossible. So a clubhead with.830 cor will return 83% of the energy.an.870 cor will return 87% and so on. This XR-03 driver from Taylormade is entirely designed and made in Japan and never marketed in the US. There are many XR-03 followers in Japan who still believe it's the hottest and longest driver Taylormade have ever released. With its.860+ COR, it blows away Taylormade's conforming low-COR drivers such as R9 and Burner with ease. Also, Tom Wishon Golf did some pretty extensive studies and came up with the conclusion that at a swing speed of 90 mph each 1% of cor related to an extra 4.2 yards of distance.and this would increase with higher swing speed.so in this case @90mph with a 3% COR difference.distance added should be 12.6 yards, etc, etc, etc. Maybe some collector has bought it?! And going to frame it i dont know! Lol he clearly states that the driver is illegal in his auctions. And a lot of people just play for fun, and therefore do not care if they are illegal. If they dont play in tournaments, and they just play with friends, then its no big deal. And when we get older, we could always use an extra 20 yards, heh. The.860 COR drivers were readily available in the UK up until last year when they were banned. Im surprised you dont see them used in pro shops over there? I bet you can probably get them MUCH cheaper than we can over here.
